What we do with what you send us
Written to be read rather than to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain words.
The short version
We collect what you type into the contact form and nothing else. We use it to reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.
The contact form
The form asks for your name, your work email address, your company, an optional size range, and a message. All of it is optional except the fields marked required, and you choose what to put in the message.
The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. Your submission passes through their systems, which are in the United States, and arrives in our email inbox. They act as a processor on our behalf and do not use your submission for their own purposes. Their privacy terms are published at web3forms.com.
Our email runs on Google Workspace. Messages stay in that mailbox until we delete them. We delete enquiries that did not go anywhere once they are clearly cold, and we delete anything sooner if you ask.
Cookies and tracking
There are none. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not know who visits, how often, or where from.
One thing worth naming: the page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google can see your IP address in the process. We are moving those files onto our own server to remove that.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, their infrastructure processes the technical details of each request, including IP addresses, in order to deliver the page and to block abuse. We do not receive or look at those logs.
If we emailed you first
We do a small amount of direct outreach. If a message from us arrived unprompted, your name, role and work address came from publicly published business sources, such as your company website or a public professional profile, and we wrote to you because your role suggested the subject might be relevant to your work. We hold nothing beyond that, and no personal information about you from any other source.
Reply with the single word unsubscribe and we will remove you and not write again. We action that within ten business days and usually the same day. The address we wrote from stays live for at least sixty days.
What you can ask for
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it and confirm when it is done, at no charge. Depending on where you live you may have these rights under the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act, or your local equivalent. We apply the same answer to everyone regardless, because keeping two standards is how mistakes happen.
